To complete a sale, a tender operation must exist and be available during a sale. Centara handles a wide variety of tender types such as:

  • Cash

  • Foreign currency

  • Cashier checks

  • Credit cards

  • Customer accounts

  • Gift cards

  • And more

Many tender types require integration with external systems. These are provided via plugins that automatically handle the integration and register the corresponding tender type/s in Centara.

To create a run of the mill cash tender type:

  1. Go to the TENDERS screen

  2. Click New Tender

  3. Change the name to Cash

  4. Add the Cash preset group

The new tender type will have the id 1 by default, or the next free number if 1 is already taken. Press Change ID to change it to a number of your choosing.
