Retail Domain Model (RDM)

The Retail Domain Model is a flexible application infrastructure that sits within the Centara Server but consists of separate meta data and logic from Centara that constructs and stores the configuration of the whole system.

The core unit of the RDM is a property that will contain a configuration value of some sort and can then be attached to something to apply that configuration to.

Any changes made to the RDM is automatically staged to be viewed and must be Published at a later date for it to be applied to production.

Normally publishing requires only a push of the Publish button, but in some cases where large amount of data is being published in one go, a config set is generated which must be reviewed and applied.

When the link above is clicked, you are taken to the the config set page. From there the config set is tested and if everything looks good, the config set can either be reviewed (by clicking the arrow) or directly applied by clicking the Apply link.

The picture above shows an expanded view of a config set. It shows an insert of a record into the HBI_DISC_GRP table.
