INTRODUCTION

Centara workstation

The Centara workstation (till / register) is the cash register program that runs at the point of sale and that is used to sell items and is the “front end” of a retail system which includes all functionality necessary to configure and maintain data in a retail environment. This document starts with the process of signing on and off to the Centara workstation and takes the user through the available cash register functions in the standard retail version.

Scope and Purpose

This document explains how to use the standard retail version of Centara workstation. The screen shots shown in this document are taken from the retail version you will be working with and should reflect the system as it runs in your environment.

The document may mention many functions and modules available in Centara. Some of these need to be activated to be able to use, others would mean adding buttons.

Other documents describe the use of other programs in the Centara and are available on request.
